Examintation & Grades
Evaluation of students’ performance by test, examinations and assignments is very vital to help the student and the guardian to understand the progress the student is making in the class. It also aids the teacher and the College to gauge the students’ progress and enables the College to advice parents regarding their ward. Class quizzes are given at the discretion of the teacher. It is, however, expected that the teacher will use this method to evaluate the students and to motivate them to study.
Besides class tests, two mid terms and two term examinations are conducted and progress reports are sent to the parents after each of these examinations. The final term examination covers entire class syllabus.
A student who is absent from any examination cannot be expected to take a special examination. If for any unavoidable reason, a special examination is requested, approval for it will have to be given by the Principal and a special fee has to be paid. Any unfair and dishonest practice in the examination will be treated as very serious offence. Offences such as copying, showing answer papers to other students, passing materials to other students, talking to another student etc. are strictly prohibited. Students indulging in any of these will be asked to leave the examination hall and the matter will be reported to the chief invigilator and Principal immediately. Such students will be debarred from taking the remaining exams of that period. This will result in failure in that Course that year.
Answer Papers
The student’s answer papers of all examinations except the final exam are given to students to be taken home for recheck and self assignment.
Promotion
For Courses Nursery – Course B.A there is no one being withheld. Course B.A, B.Sc the minimum pass mark in each subject is 33%. For promotion, a
student must have 45% in each of the six subjects including English. Moral Instruction and Environmental Education are a compulsory subjects and failure in these will lead to
promotion being withheld. Promotion to Call the courses are as per as the prescribed criteria followed respectively by the Council rules.
Transfer Certificate and Withdrawal
Transfer Certificate will be issued to a withdrawing student only if his/her accounts are settled and other clearances such as the library and hostels are obtained. A parent
should notify the students at least ten days in advance for his/her transfer certificate to be issued. No refund of the tuition fees and development fee. Deposit money for hostel
students is refundable if not used by the student in sickness or emergency. The term fee is charged to a student who withdraws during the term.
Class Teacher
A class teacher, part from the subject teachers, is assigned to each class for general supervision, student counseling, and help to assist the College administration. Students who have personal or academic problems may seek
help from their class teacher. General activities of the class will be under the supervision of the class teacher. When various College functions and activities are organized, the class teacher will supervise the group. Ranks
and divisions are not awarded. Each ward is encouraged to obtain maximum marks (100 out of 100) in each subject rather than competing with one another. The progress reports are based on the student’s academic performance.
Awards will be given to the students who excel academically as well as in good conduct.
University Certificates
IMPORTANT NOTE: The responsibility for the correct selection of subjects to meet university or professional requirements of a candidate or candidates will be that of the College.
College will not offer any courses for which there is no adequate provision made for infrastructure/classroom/qualified teacher.
